This item was recycled from an old Kantha blanket. In Kantha embroidery, old cotton saris are creatively reworked and reused as garments, blankets or bedspreads. The old fabrics are placed on top of each other and sewn together by hand using the traditional Kantha embroidery technique. This technique is characterised by the many rows of short, continuous stitches. Each Kantha piece is unique.

All Sissel Edelbo products are unique pieces made from worn fabrics - mainly Indian saris. Small imperfections may therefore occur in the fabrics.
